Our local club Taumarunui Motorcycle Club has hosted the NZ TT Champs for the past 15 years, some trail major rides, an annual winter mx series and is involved with several other events around the King Country. NZ Miniature TT Champs 2015: Vets 35+ 3rd overall
2nd in NZ Superbike Championships 2015. I think Toby is our "king of dittos" What I did last year I can do again...even if the beginning of the series did not go as he had planned, the outcome ::: 2nd overall, ending the season on a high is a great acheivement when the final round started with him in 5th place.
CONGRATULATIONS Toby! Ending 2014 on a high - winning the F2 600cc class of the Tri Series. But he is his "own worst critic", and got the series win without winning a race at Wanganui.
2014 Paeroa Battle of the Streets - REPEAT of last year : 1st = on Yamaha YZF-R6 in the F2 class, 1st = on Yamaha YZ450F in Supermotard class.
Toby wrapped up the 2013 Suzuki International Tri Series, winning the Formula two (600cc) class overall

Leigh Tidman
With much success as a National Racer in the KartSport series (see at bottom), Leigh is also a successful rider on two wheels.
2015:: So far in the Suzuki Tri Series Leigh is leading his class - heading to Wanganui's Cemetery Circuit with a 26 point lead; a race report for the 2015 suzuki series over the 3 rounds:
"Hampton Downs and Manfield taking 4 wins from 4 races with very close racing at lap record times, in some races you could throw a blanket over the top 4.
The last round at Wanganui Cemetery Circuit is my favourite place and qualified on pole, all I had to do is win one race to take the series.
Leading the first lap I blew my engine and had to sit the day out, bugga.
But I still had enough points to take 3rd over all.
Throughout the series we pitted with Russell and Jett, we had a ball and lots of good laughs.
Big thanks to Russell and the team for all their support, bike is already in bits and parts ordered for a complete rebuild. Wont be long I’ll be back."
2014-2015 Won the F3 series on Leigh's self-built bike: "Now I have a bitza that I built and its a Yamaha and a Honda they call it the Mongrel but really it’s a quality YAMONDAHA". The final F3 standings were Tidman, Fitzgerald and Gavin Veltmeyer." (from motorcyclesport.co.nz)
2012-2013 Started out the new season on a bike he had never ridden before... a 2009 GSXR 600 race bike, going up a class to the F3 competition. Through the season many events thrown his way could have disrupted his series completion, but he finished on FIRST equal points and after count back Leigh was awarded the series win for F2 super-sport.

Jette Josiah
Jette Josiah is no stranger to the competitive motorcycling scene - be it road racing, motocross or supermotard.
Over the years he has gained many impressive results, and has recently returned to road racing, heading straight up the leaderboard!

Nov 2014 Waikato Champs
1st in 15-16 125cc class :: on First Day
6th on count back for the Sunday, "it just wasn't my day."
MX Fest Taupo, Labour Weekend 2014
Saturday junior 15-16 125cc class , 3rd overall.
Sunday I rode in the national 125 class, 7th overall.
JUNIOR NATIONALS: Due to bad weather was reduced to just 3 races on Sunday.
So after eventful races in the mud & ruts Sean finished second overall.
Congrats Sean - keep it up :-)

Top 5 in both Rounds 2 & 3 of DRD 2-man series - Riding SOLO!
1st Round National Enduro - Riverhead: 1st Intermediate Unders.
OVERALL GNCC Series: Clubmans 14-24 2nd in class, well done Brody!
4th Round GNCC: 1st in class and 5th in grade.
BelRay Cross Country Series: FIRST in Clubmans class & 47th overall.
3rd Round GNCC: FIRST in Clubmans class - congrats Brody!
2014 Castrol Honda Six Hour: The only Youth entry for the Six Hour Solo and finished in 46th place overall.
Joe Wainhouse - Yamaha YZF250 #92
Joe has joined the Bike Torque team for 2016. He is also part of the Wanganui Balance Chartered accountants Junior Mx Academy and has recently had training with Rhys Carter and Mike Philips working on important aspects of racing making improvements in cornering & jumping as well as learning about the importance of nutrition and fitness for racing.
Woodville Juniors - 19th overall in his class after a few hard-luck racing incidents.
Central Cross Country Round 2 - 5th in the 125/250 class & 6th from 19 for all juniors.
FINAL Round for Series: I am very happy that I got 3rd outright for juniors out of 39 riders who competed in the series. But unfortunately just missed out in 3rd place in the 125/250 class where I finished 4th.
Rotorua Inter School Challenge - finished 16th overall in the 15-18yrs 250cc class (40 riders!)
Wanganui MX Champs Round 1 - 14-16 years 250 class
Rnd 1 4th place overall - 4 rounds to go.
Rnd 2: 4th in each race, 3rd place overall
Rnd 3: harder work today after lots of issues keeping me further back in the pack. Still in 3rd overall.

Harris has been riding locally for a long time and only recently decided that he would like to compete - great way to do it Harris - catch the opposition by surprise!
2016 NZ Cross Country Champs: 6th overall and 3rd in my class for the season.
2016 Dirst Guide Series: winning my class for the series and won the intermediate overall.

Russell rides at a variety of events around the region, like his Suzuki GSXR1000 and a Ducati 999 at Taupo Track Days, local trail rides (most recently on a Gas Gas) or just getting the WR450 motard bike (& RMZ450) for some laps around the local kart track or rural roads in our region.
2014: Miniature TT Champs 8th on the YZ450F / YZ250F in the Vets 50+ class.
2013: Miniature TT Champs 2nd in the Side x Side class driving his Polaris RZR 900, 5th Vets class on his Yamaha WR450.
2012: 1st Miniature TT Champs Vets 50+ class, and 3rd in the Side x Side class, 2nd overall in 2012 Bike Rider NZ Summer Motard Series.
