Two Ways to Ride

The new 327cc fuel-injected 2-stroke arrives in two purpose-built machines — the cross-country-focused KX™327X and the motocross-bred KX™327.

The KX™327X features Kawasaki's first fuel-injected 2-stroke single-cylinder engine, delivering consistent torque in a lightweight package. It's the perfect balance of raw power and sophisticated control.

The new engine offers a linear power character with crisp throttle response and strong traction at ultra-low RPMs. A lightweight KX™ aluminium perimeter frame pairs with factory-style cross-country tuned suspension and brakes to create the ultimate 2-stroke off-road race machine.

2-Stroke Power

The new 327cc 2-stroke engine produces outstanding low-speed traction and strong torque across the RPM range. The precise combined action of ignition timing, fuel injection and exhaust valves evens out the peaky nature of an old-school 2-stroke, creating an incredible spread of useable power and a whole new riding experience. A single-shaft primary engine balancer reduces vibrations for smooth delivery and improved throttle control.

A Stroke of Genius — dual-injector fuel injection

Torque at the Ready — Kawasaki-designed exhaust valve system

A Stroke of Genius

Crankcase reed-valve intake is managed by an advanced fuel-injection system. A 39mm throttle body is fed by dual injectors — one upstream, one downstream. At low RPM, only the downstream injector operates, enabling precise fuelling for low-speed control and ground-gripping traction even when the throttle is barely open. The upstream injector joins in at higher RPM for powerful acceleration and high-revving excitement reminiscent of a classic 2-stroke.

Hydraulic Clutch

Both models share a hydraulic clutch with a coned-disc spring for direct action, a light lever pull and consistent performance even as it heats up.

Power at the Push of a Button

A compact and lightweight Li-ion battery powers reliable push-button starting — restart your engine quickly while traversing technical terrain to spare a lot of energy. The use of pre-mix lubrication keeps things simple and lightweight, eliminating the need for a separate oil injection system.

Chassis & Ergonomics

A lightweight aluminium perimeter frame based on the KX™450F is fine-tuned for the unique performance of the KX™327X. Lower frame rails are strengthened for improved front-end feedback and to endure the rigours of cross-country riding.

Stopping Power

High-performance Nissin brake calipers and hydraulics deliver premium stopping power, with a 270mm front petal disc and 240mm rear petal disc for the confidence of control.

Your Ride. Your Fit.

Fine-tune your fit with ERGO-FIT® adjustable components. Footpegs feature two adjustable positions, while two triple-clamp mounting points and reversible bar mounts add up to four possible handlebar positions — ideal for dialling in comfort and control.

Styled to Win & Easy Access

Slim bodywork and a streamlined finish enable seamless rider movement, complemented by a slip-resistant contoured seat, Renthal Fatbar handlebar, ODI lock-on grips and wide, lightweight footpegs. A quick-release side cover provides tool-less access to the airbox for quick pitstop maintenance.

Modern Technology

Ride connected with RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX™2 and GPS

The broad power of the KX™327X can be tailored with the push of a button. Power Mode Selection is controlled by the M button at the left handlebar, switching between Normal (full power) and Mild settings.

The KX™327X connects wirelessly to your smartphone through a communication unit mounted behind the front number plate. Combined with a GPS unit on the front fender, RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX™2 lets riders record trip logs, create off-road track maps (based on Google Map satellite images), track lap times, and review speed, gear position and engine RPM. Engine telemetry — including intake and coolant temperature — can be monitored in real time, with an engine hour meter and maintenance reminders included.

Cross-Country Suspension

48mm KYB coil-spring fork with Kashima coating

New Uni-Trak® rear suspension tuned for the long haul

A high-performance 48mm KYB coil-spring fork handles front suspension duties. The KYB Air-Oil-Separate (AOS) system and low-friction Kashima coating ensure stable damping with smooth, consistent performance. At the rear, the New Uni-Trak® system optimises the long-travel performance of the fully adjustable KYB shock, with valving tuned for cross-country competition — prioritising ride comfort for long hours and terrain-following traction when it matters most.

Off-Road Ready

Excel rims with Dunlop Geomax AT82 tyres

The KX™327X is ready for the rigours of cross-country racing with rugged Excel rims and Dunlop Geomax AT82 tyres on machined hubs (21-inch front / 18-inch rear). A large-capacity 8.5L (2.25-gallon) transparent resin fuel tank lets you go further between fuel-ups while easily monitoring fuel level. Cross-country protection comes via handguards, a sturdy skid plate with link guard, a rear brake disc guard, and a forged aluminium side stand that retracts at a high angle to stay out of the way while riding.
