Warranty

YAMAHA - WARRANTY INFORMATION

Within the new product warranty period, Yamaha warrants your product to be free from any defect in materials used in the manufacture and/or workmanship at the time of its manufacture.

Yamaha Motor have taken great care in the selection of materials, plating and painting techniques so as to provide its customers with a quality cosmetic appearance allied to durability.

However, Yamaha products are often used in hostile environmental conditions and in these circumstances it is essential that your Yamaha is cleaned after use to ensure all metal, alloy, plated, unplated and plastic components, including painted surfaces, retain their expected condition.

Your dealer can provide further information and advice if required. Ultimately the appearance of your machine will very much depend on the care it receives.

To ensure your Yamaha remains performing at it’s best, make sure your Yamaha is always serviced by an Authorized Yamaha Dealer for these following reasons:

  • Dealership technicians are factory trained to a uniformly high standard, and use the latest diagnostic and servicing equipment
  • All workmanship is guaranteed
  • Supplying genuine parts and adherence to Factory Maintenance Schedules as required

You can maintain maximum protection under new product warranty by ensuring your Yamaha is serviced in accordance with the recommendations of the scheduled maintenance chart in the owner’s handbook.

The appropriate service record must be stamped by your authorized Yamaha dealer, so make sure that whenever a service, repair or warranty work is undertaken, the owner service handbook must be made available to your Yamaha Dealer.

POLARIS WARRANTY BASICS

Your Polaris XPEDITION, RZR, GENERAL or ATV comes with a six-month factory warranty with unlimited miles. Your Polaris RANGER comes with a one-year factory warranty with unlimited miles.

This warranty covers components of your vehicle against defects in material or workmanship. It covers parts and labor charges for repair or replacement of defective parts and begins on the date of purchase by the original retail purchaser. The warranty is transferable to another owner during the warranty period through a Polaris Dealer, but any transfer will not extend the original length of the warranty. To find the end date of your factory warranty, use the VIN Search Tool

Your vehicle may have come with a Promotional Limited Warranty. The Promotional Limited Warranty consists of the standard factory warranty plus an additional time period of promotional limited warranty coverage. The Promotional Limited Warranty covers failures due to defects in materials or workmanship excluding normal wear items, batteries, battery cables, air and oil filters, coolants and fluids, cam chain tensioner assemblies and components, spark plugs and wires, drive chains and sprockets, drive belts and sprockets/pulleys, clutch belts, hoses, components for illumination, exhaust parts, oxygen sensors, emissions components, antennas, speakers, tires, wheel bearings, rubber moldings, glass, metal, chrome plating, plastic trim, upholstery, brake pads or suspension bushings. The Promotional Limited Warranty also excludes failures from error or abuse; snow, water or dirt ingestion; improper or lack of maintenance; modification or use of aftermarket components; or use of the vehicle in completion or for commercial purposes. Any additional warranty coverage after the initial factory warranty is subject to a $50 deductible per visit. See your dealer for details.

For the full terms and conditions of your factory warranty, see your Owner's Manual

To extend your coverage beyond factory warranty, you may add an extended service contract (ESC) to your vehicle by purchasing a Polaris Protection Plan. This only can be done while a factory warranty or promotional limited warranty is still in place. To learn more or to purchase a Polaris Protection Plan, consult your dealer or visit ProtectMyPolaris.com.
